Accessible Excel Documents
- Follow all recommendations for general Word documents such as using alt tags for images, including table header information, and using meaningful link text.
- Avoid using blank rows, cells, or columns for formatting as these can lead a user of a screen reader to think there is nothing more in the table.
- Give all sheet tabs unique names that describe briefly what is on the sheet. To do this, right click the sheet tab and then click “rename.”
