Content Accessibility
The primary aim of this site is to provide faculty assistance in creating or converting online instructional materials to be accessible to the widest audience possible. The same techniques to make course content accessible can be used by anyone who has responsibility for creating public documents, videos and websites. Faculty and staff are required to utilize the accessibility tools to ensure websites and Canvas pages are accessible, since making electronic data accessible is a compliance requirement (e.g., Revised Section 508 standards, ADA Title II standards, and WCAG 2.1.).
The University of Kansas has a diverse student body, including students with visual, hearing, physical and learning disabilities. KU is committed to providing a campus climate that sustains attention to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and to provide an inclusive learning environment for all students.
