EMPOWERING ALL THROUGH MENTORING

Join us for a conversation on disability, mentoring, inclusion and employment with Derek Shields. Derek Shields is a national expert on mentoring and inclusion of individuals with disabilities in the workplace. He has been awarded Vice President Gore’s Hammer Award, President George W. Bush’s Excellence in Government Award and is a co-founder of the National Disability Mentoring Coalition. Mr. Shields will provide us with a foundation on mentoring, and how use of mentoring fosters a climate of inclusivity and change.

Stay engaged after our Celebration by participating in KU’s Pilot Mentoring Circles for Disability Inclusion Program, sponsored by the ADA Resource Center for Equity and Accessibility.  The Pilot program is available to all University of Kansas employees. Please enroll soon, space is limited to 30 individuals.  Application deadline is November 30th
